Description
YSCC Yokohama are a professional soccer club in the J. League, currently part of the J3 league. Their home town is Yokohama city in Kanagawa prefecture. Team’s home stadium is the Nippatsu Mitsuzawa Stadium in Yokohama city.
The club originated from the “Yokohama-Nakaku Sports Youth Club“ that started in 1964, which was a public club, that had teams for all ages, from elementary school students to adults. After that, ANA supported their youth group and in 1984 they promoted to the Japan Soccer League’s (JSL) 1st division.
Taking advantage of the situation, the club became known as ANA Yokohama Soccer Club, since it was now managed by ANA, but the old boys nor their staff were dependent on the company. To create the ideal club during the time of establishment, which was to have a club with roots in its region, they founded the new Yokohama Sports Club in 1986. Because of this, YSCC mark 1986 as their founding year.
In 1987, the club name was changed to Yokohama Soccer and Culture Club. When they joined the Kanagawa 3rd division in 1988, they gradually moved up, without any hiccups, through the 2nd and 1st division and eventually promoted to Kanto League’s 2nd and 1st division.
By 2011 they had won the Kanto League’s 1st division championship for the 4th time and 3 years in a row. They were also victorious in the Japan Regional Football Champions League, which earned them the promotion to the Japan Football League (JFL).
When the establishment of J3 was announced in 2013, the club greatly shifted their plans to entering the J. League and their membership application was accepted. With that, the club announced that they would change their name to YSCC Yokohama, which included the name of their region.
Since 2014, they have been fighting in J3 and working hard for a promotion to J2.
The team’s home jersey is light blue and their supplier from 2012 has been svolme.
YSCC Yokohama’s shirts have logos of their sponsors, like Kaspersky lab, RENO-TEC, and others.
